The Management team at Cornerstone have years of experience in the IT industry and the directors have worked together for over 20 years in this field.
The management team has been built up over the 10 years to form a formidable, professional, customer service orientated team and each department has been built up through this team to form the award winning team we have today
Managing Director
Chris is our managing director and formed Cornerstone with our other directors Chris & John after working for other IT companies in the region who Chris thought just didn’t offer that excellent customer service that we offer today.
Chris is also involved in other local business interest which keeps him busy as well as spending time with his family and 2 British Bulldogs as well as following the Boro and has just got into walking.
Operation Director
Chris is our Operations Director and started Cornerstone along with the other Directors.
Chris has been in the industry for a number of years and even started off supporting typewriters before computers were around and obviously made the clear move into supporting computers.
Chris was also a Director at CPA Systems who operated in Stockton for many years before selling.
Chris joined Cornerstone with a wealth of experience and is our go man to for R&D and he also runs the installation department for new installs.
In his spare time he likes to be with his family and brown lab, as well as caravanning and golf.
Technical Director
John is our Technical Director and started Cornerstone along with the other Directors.
John started his IT career as an apprentice many moons ago and started with DOS systems and has moved with the for ever changing face of technology. He gets involved on looking at complex solutions for our customers and can be seen most days at the Boro supporting their systems on match days.
In his spare time he spends time with his family including his grandkids, formula 1, walking and buying cars
Sales Director
Chris has been with Cornerstone from the start and joined us from a long career in Management for JD Sports and even managed their store in Dublin.
Chris heads up the Sales department which has grown through the years and spends a great deal of time entertaining our customers at football matches or on the golf course.
In his spare time he spends time with his family and Lunar the Black Lab, following boro, golf and is a avid reader
Helpdesk Manager
Paul joined the business originally as a technical engineer and quite quickly showed he had management potential and became our helpdesk manager looking after all of the engineers from a technical point of view and working closely with Michelle to make sure our response times and customer service levels are kept to the best.
Paul spends his free time with the family and has a love of horses and can be seen riding them around the country.
Office Manager
Michelle joined Cornerstone at the very start and has probably worked in every department, starting as receptionist, then moving into sales then customer service to now have the role of Office manager and fat controller ( she looks after all of the support calls and engineers) She has an excellent lively & bubbly personality which you have probably experienced if you have phoned the office or logged a call. Michelles skill set and personality put her in a great position to work alongside Paul to make sure that our customer service levels are the best in the region.
Michelle is married to Chris Petty so her time is taken up looking after him as well as spending time with the family and British Bulldogs, walking and when she can she will be down at the gym.
Non-Exec Director
Gary was until 2011, UK Director of SME Banking at Yorkshire and Clydesdale Banks and also held the roles of Head of Retail Banking and Head of Business Banking for Yorkshire Bank. He was previously North East and Cumbria Regional Director of SME Banking for Barclays Bank.
Gary is now Managing Director of Focus on Success Ltd, a management consultancy business providing non executive directors and business coaches to firms across the UK. Gary and his wife Hayley also own Denovo Properties (North East) Ltd, SE Decorators Ltd and Omkara Beauty.
Gary is a Non-Executive Director himself, at a large number of SME’s across the North of England and London (24), where he advises the Management on Growth Strategy, Business Development, Marketing, HR, Risk Management, Finance and Corporate Governance.
Gary is a Mentor/ Growth Expert on the Goldman Sachs 10000 Small Business Programme delivered by Said Business School (Oxford University) and sits on the Investment Panel for the Tees Valley Business Grant Programme.
Gary was awarded an MBE for Services to the Finance Industry in the 2008 New Years Honours List and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Scotland.
