STOCKTON-based Cornerstone Business Solutions has grown by 65pc in the last year – 15pc more than was predicted in September last year.

The company – which was founded by Chris Petty in June 2008 – predicted a 50pc increase in last year’s turnover which would see the firm tip the £1m mark. The workforce now stands at 11 staff and Cornerstone is currently seeking more IT engineers and Sales Staff.

The firm’s ambitious growth strategy to become one of the leading suppliers of business critical systems across the UK is strengthened daily by new contract wins, which most recently include Butterwick Hospice, Toys Direct, Acumen Waste and The Map Group UK.

Through a number of strategic partnerships and sub-contracting deals Cornerstone’s turnover is set to grow to a staggering £3.5m in the next two years and will see the company’s client spread go UK wide.

The firm has just appointed dedicated software support manager, Michelle McCardle, who will oversee client requests and manage day-to-day software enquiries. Michelle worked with many of the Cornerstone team in a previous job and has more than 7 years experience in similar roles.
